The USSF goes to Guadeloupe
On January 10, 2009 the Guadeloupe League of Savate will host an international competition with representatives from various countries. The USSF will have two fighters competing in assaut in the -65Kg and -75kg weight divisions.
Ben Scoggan from New Hampshire and actual USA champion, with 2008 runner up Greg Znajda from Illinois; both athletes will compete in four by two minutes round fights.

This is a great opportunity for the Americas to gather together some of their best competitors in one single event, while promoting the sport and its associated disciplines.
Guadeloupe is an archipelago located in the eastern Caribbean Sea with a land area of 1,628 sq. km (629 sq. mi). It is an overseas department of France. As with the other overseas departments, Guadeloupe is also one of the twenty-six regions of France and an integral part of the Republic. As part of France, Guadeloupe is part of the European Union; hence, as for most EU countries, its currency is the euro. Canne Workshop with Professor Dubreuil
The USSF in conjunction with the Maryland Savate Club is excited to announce a three dayCanne De Combat training seminar conducted by Bertrand Dubreuil. Mr. Dubreuil is an 11 TimeFrench Champion in the sport of Canne De Combat (i.e. combat cane or french stick fighting). Healso holds the esteemed instructor rank of Professor in both of Canne De Combat and Baton(quarterstaff) and serves as the President of the National Committee for Canne De Combat andBaton in France. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to learn and train with one of the World’sbest technicians and trainers of the sport. The three day training intensive will be held October 10-12.
